Hasbro, Inc. brings to market the figure of one of the most tightly held secrets in recent Hollywood history: the “Cloverfield” Monster. Following the 1-18-08 theatrical release of Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot’s “Cloverfield,” fans will be able to order a highly detailed representation of the beast beginning today exclusively on HasbroToyShop.com.
Standing at an imposing 14 inches tall, the creature that wreaks havoc on New York City in the film is immortalized as a super-articulated figure for fans and collectors alike. As with other beasts in the annals of great movie monsters, the creature in "Cloverfield" captures the imagination and tugs at the fears of thrill seeking moviegoers.
The party may be over when this beast comes to town, but the fright inducing look of the creature lives on from the creepy people-sucking underbelly to the swath of parasites the beast lets loose to hunt citizens of the 'Big Apple.' It looks nothing like the monster.
That is actually the monster with everything and all
The monsters skin was originally white when it was awoken,
When it rampaged through the city it's skin became darker due to smoke and dust from the rubble causing the monster to become filthy.
LOL. No... The MOTHER or FATHER is white. There are two monsters in the movie. The larger white/grey monster that took out the bridge was much, much different from the black/red one that took out hud.
J.J said it himself. "The monster is a baby. It's brand new."
There are not two monsters, it's only one. The size thing is due to the fact that JJ wanted to have a last and close encounter with Clover at the end, and to fit it into the screen it had to be smalled. The part that destroys the bridge is the tail, this to make it more accidental, why to make it accidental? Because of the fact that the monster is a baby... being a baby it's not a creature that destroys for pleasure, it's only a baby that got lost and is scared. And all that is said by JJ Abrams and the whole production team, see the features in the dvd.
