Hey dude,
Not sure if you covered it, but on one of the trailers it says "We have a bite"
Any insight as to what that means.
I know there is alot of speculation the monster is / spawns a Halo Style "Flood" Parasite.

when it says "we have a bite". it goes back to the scene where their doing all the testing and stuff and it shows that chik behind the curtains with the 2 scientists, she was bit by one of the little monsters and from what happens to her after im not sure but ya she was bit by one of the little monsters and pretty much exploded or something soo thats all i know from that, hope that answered your question=D
